【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardmakesrecommendationsforthestorageandexhibitionofarchivaldocuments,includinglibrarymaterials.Theserecommendationsapplytothelong-term,permanentstorageofarchivaldocuments.Thetemporarystorageofsuchdocumentsinrestrictedaccessandtheirdisplayinexhibitionsisalsocovered.Therecommendationsapplytonewbuildings,whetherpurpose-builtoradapted,andtoexistingbuildings.Therecommendationsmainlyconcerntraditionalmaterials,i.e.paperandparchment,althoughsomeguidanceonmoremodernmediaisgiveninclause11.Thisguidanceisintendedforthestorageofmodernmediaingeneral-purposerepositoriesandfurtherspecialistadvicemayalsoberequired.Thisstandardisforusebyarchivists,librarians,conservators,museumcurators,architects,designers,contractors,engineersandothersconcernedwiththeplanning,construction,equipment,maintenanceandworkingofsuchrepositories.
