【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftensilestrengthunderuniaxialloadingofmonolithicadvancedceramicsatelevatedtemperatures.Thistestmethodaddresses,butisnotrestrictedto,varioussuggestedtestspecimengeometriesaslistedintheappendix.Inaddition,testspecimenfabricationmethods,testingmodes(force,displacement,orstraincontrol),testingrates(forcerate,stressrate,displacementrate,orstrainrate),allowablebending,anddatacollectionandreportingproceduresareaddressed.Tensilestrengthasusedinthistestmethodreferstothetensilestrengthobtainedunderuniaxialloading.1.2Thistestmethodappliesprimarilytoadvancedceramicswhichmacroscopicallyexhibitisotropic,homogeneous,continuousbehavior.Whilethistestmethodappliesprimarilytomonolithicadvancedceramics,certainwhisker,orparticle-reinforcedcompositeceramicsaswellascertaindiscontinuousfiber-reinforcedcompositeceramicsmayalsomeetthesemacroscopicbehaviorassumptions.Generally,continuousfiberceramiccomposites(CFCCs)donotmacroscopicallyexhibitisotropic,homogeneous,continuousbehaviorandapplicationofthistestmethodtothesematerialsisnotrecommended.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandardandareinaccordancewithPracticeE380.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.RefertoSection7forspecificprecautions.
